Quantum Research Wins $29M Contract for Foreign Threat Systems, Spare Parts and Manuals

(Huntsville, AL – February 20, 2013) — Quantum Research International, Inc. is pleased to announce the receipt of a prime contract award from the U.S. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal for Foreign Threat Systems, Spare Parts, and Manuals. This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract provides support over five years to the Targets Management Office (TMO) located at Redstone Arsenal, AL, that reports to the Project Manager for Instrumentation, Targets and Threat Simulators (PM ITTS), headquartered in Orlando, FL, as part of the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). The contract ceiling is $29M with a period of performance beginning in May 2012 and ending in May 2017.

The Quantum Team, that includes teammates J&P Khamken, Kinetix Logistics, and the Camcode Division of Horizons, will provide the following:

  • Systems, subsystems, and related equipment that represent foreign threat systems, ranging from fully mission capable weapon systems to non-operational ancillary components;
  • Spare parts necessary for maintenance, repair, or modification of foreign threat systems in accordance with applicable technical manuals and original design requirements for foreign threat systems that include all parts necessary to repair/ maintain current foreign vehicles and all foreign threat systems provided, including major automotive repair items and assemblies such as radio systems, power packs (engine and transmission packages), final drive sets, road wheels, track sets, wheels and tires; and
  • Manuals necessary for operating, maintaining and repairing of foreign threat systems.

This is the first prime contract win for Quantum’s newly created Foreign Threat Systems Division.
